I am stitching up a couple of "Happy Birthday" cards for family members. May is a month for birthdays and Mother's Day !!!

"Tree of Stitches" SAL

I am learning different kinds of specialty stitches from Abi Gurden called, "Tree of Stitches". So far, I learned cross stitch which is the tree trunk, and the leaves are smyrna stitch, french knots, and eyelets. I am working on the rice stitch next. The fabric is 25ct evenweave.....and the threads are various colors......

Birthday gift tags

I am stitching up birthday gift tags for my grandchildren. These tags are for my twin grandsons who will be 4 next month. I put their name tag on their birthday gift from us. I am now stitching up 4 more name tags. May is a month of 7 family birthdays including Mother's Day.

"Let's Bee Friends!" - MS SAL

Margaret Sherry Yahoo group has a monthly SAL and for March we were to stitch "Let's Bee Friends!" from the Britian's No 1 CrossStitcher magazine, page 6. It is also a free cover kit that came with the magazine. I stitched this one on 14 ct aida using a mixture of DMC and Anchor threads.
