Wow! It has been a long time since I have blog any of my stitching projects. I will try to do better for year 2015. It will be a fresh start. I have joined Heather's "Small SAL" for year 2015. I have also joined a few other SALs and WIP/UFO projects so I can finish the rest of my lingering stitching projects waiting for me to finish them. That is my goal for the year 2015. I also have many HAEDs and BAPs that need my attention too. Wish me luck!

Smalls SAL 2014

I joined the Smalls SAL 2014.   The idea is to stitch something small such has needle book, ornaments, fobs, holiday tags, etc.... per month.   I also sewed another tea wallet made from orca design fabric with a sea shell button as a gift.   Individual tea packet in tea wallet to put into my purse when travelling or visiting friends.

These cute critters are from "The Cross-Stitchers" magazine, stitched with DMC threads on 14ct aida.

The Orca fabric made into a tea wallet with a sea shell button.

Stitching projects for month of January 2014

Thank you card for my family members and friends.   I have been stitching some of these "Thank you" cards for gifts received for Christmas.
SanMan Originals - Flower of the Month SAL     stitched on 18 ct aida in single row and will be stitched onto hand towel when completed.
Four ornaments from cover kits of  "The Cross-Stitchers" magazines for the Ornament of the month SAL.

I will be working on Stoney Creek "Snowman" Series  to made into ornaments as well.

Stitch from Stash

I joined the Stitch from Stash challenge from Mel's group.   The goal is to stay on a monthly budget which is $25.00 per month.    This is to challenge us to stitch from our stash to help us to use up what we have.... I have lots of charts, threads, fabrics, etc.    It is a temptation for me to go into my two favorite LNS to browse around.  (Buttons and Needles in Victoria and The Stitcher's Muse in Nanamio)  It is like a candy store for me.    It is hard to resist buying those lovely fabrics, different color threads, new gadgets, charts from favorite designers, etc......   So joining the Stitch from Stash will be a good way for me to focus on using what I have in my stash bins.   Making room for new stash, eh?     Anyway,  so far, I have been working on "Frozen Spheres" which is a BAP.  The designer is Frank Lloyd Wright.   Also I have been stitching ornies for the "Ornament a Month SAL".    I also joined StitchMap group to learn new techniques of stitching various embroidery stitches which is a year long class.     Sandy, from the SanMan Originals is putting out flower design per month.   I am stitching these tiny flowers in a row for my hand towel when finished on 18 ct aida.    I usually use aida fabric when I know the item will require frequent washings.   Linen and evenweave fabrics for other projects.       I am excited to see how much progress I make in this new journey of mine.

Tea Wallet

This is the tea wallet that I made following the "tea wallet tutorial" by Handmade Therapy which I google on the internet.  I was tired of carrying my tea bag packets in my purse and then finding them all crushed from the items stored in my purse.
This is what it looks like inside the tea wallet.   I have 4 tea bag packets with individual sugar packet as well.
This is what the outer fabric looks like of my tea wallet.    I used a large wooden bead and hair elastic cut in half to keep the wallet closed together when not in used.
