Love you, Mum

I added this "Love you, Mum" from Britain's No 1 Cross Stitcher, Issue # 237 on page 79 into a Mother's Day card. This Margaret Sherry's card will go with the meerkat bookmark that I made for her as well.

Meerkat bookmark

Meerkat bookmark completed in time for my mother's gift. She requested a bookmark for Mother's Day. I stitched a tassle instead of fraying the sides of the bookmark. The backing is a piece of fabric in desert sand design. Stitched on 28ct Lagana with DMC threads.

There are 3 AQP ( Angel Quilt Projects).... one in Canada, one in the States, and one that goes to Brazil. There may be more organizations that I am not aware of at this time.

Meerkat bookmark

My mother has asked me for a bookmark for Mother's Day. I have been searching for the ideal design for her bookmark. I decided to stitch a meerkat since we both like "meerkats". I pulled out my chart from my stash bin and I have been stitching since this morning. The fabric is 28ct white, evenweave using DMC threads. I have to stitch from the top to bottom due to the factional stitches, squashed stitches and middle X stitch, etc....so to avoid making mistakes, I do each row at a time. I hope to finished this before the end of April.

Folksy Mirror Pouch

Designer by Diane Machin from Britian's No 1 CrossStitcher, Issue #237 . This is a freebie cover kit which came with a compact mirror. Stitched on 14ct aida with threads, button and felt .

I was curious how this would look like when finished so I decided to stitch it. Actually it is the first time I stitched on felt. Now I got the concept of how it works, I guess I could make more for future gifts. LOL
