"Winter Box" SAL

I am working on my Winter Box SAL a few hours at a time because these are done with tiny stitches and my eyes get tired quickly. So far, I have done the lid and side 1. I am working on side 2 of the lid. I am stitching the "Winter Box" with the Victoria Sampler group. Shay is the teacher to help us with any problems and to encourage us to finish our project. The fabric is linen and there are assortments of threads that comes with the kit. There is a biscornu and scissor fob chart that comes with the kit as well.

"Spirit of the Sockeye" Day 3

This is as far as I got for today. I took a break to walk for 7 km or 4 1/2 miles to get my exercise quota as part of my New Year resolution. Needless to say, I am a bit sore. Stitching is a sedentary activity so I had to insert something more active into my daily routine. LOL

"Spirit of the Sockeye" Day 3

I am starting on "Spirit of the Sockeye" for Day 3 of my Crazy Jan Challenge. This is really going to be a challenge because it is stitched on 28 ct black Cashel linen. Because it is a black fabric, it will be slow going for me due to my eyesights. I do have a Ott-Light and magnifier but I also have a floater in one of my eyes so that will make it even harder. I will alternate with another stitching project to rest my eyes as I do this.

Mr. Snowman and Friends (Finished)

Well, I couldn't go to sleep so I got up and finished this "Mr. Snowman and Friends" before Day 3 is started. This one will be finished into an ornament. Now off to stitch my next project!

"Woodland Folk" - Toby Fox

First Crazy January Challenge completed!

I picked "Woodland Folk" - Toby Fox is holding a flower so I can send it to my mother for her birthday with her gifts which has to be mailed out by Monday, Feb 3rd. My husband was sick so I able to stitch from 7 am to 2 pm without any interruption. This is a quick stitch. It is on 14 ct aida and it is a freebie from the Cross Stitch Card magazine. Comes with red card stock and an envelope. First I have to decide whether I want to put the design on the card stock or to add a backing and stuff some potpourri to gives off a nice smell.

Crazy January Cross-Stitch Challenge

I just recently signed up for the Crazy January Cross-Stitch Challenge. The aim is to stitch a new Cross Stitch design from Jan 1st to 15th, then to work on them until finished. I also have 15 cross-stitch UFOs and WIPs to work on for the Up 4 a Challenge group. I am hoping to reach my goal by the end of the year of 2011.

I am now starting on my first design called, "Woodland Folk" - Toby Fox.
